Eastern Highland Healthy Cake House (Rocher Centre)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
YES, TIME OF THE YEAR to enjoy my favourite Blue-berry cake from my favourite shop again.
They changed to a beautiful sweet box and haha, the cake is same design as last year except the halved strawberries faced up. :P
And this year the sweetness is perfect (used to think it's nice but could be abit less sweet in past years) and the lump of fresh cream below the strawberries which I usually don't fancy tasted so fresh & smooth! An improvement from already nice thumbs-up for eggless Birthday cakes.
Yes, it remains my favourite Vegetarian Eggless cake shop. :-)

The cake shop is located at 1 Rocher Rd, #01-510 Rocher Centre (Opposite Bugis OG) Tel: 6294 6932
It has moved to be neighbors with Kwan Inn Vegetarian Food, at Blk 134, Geylang East Ave1, #01-227, S'pore 381034.

Kwan Inn Vegetarian Food 观音斋

Where to get nice Vegetarian herbal/tonic double-boiled soup?
One recommendation is Kwan Inn Vegetarian Food 观音斋 :-)
Yes, not just its laksa, the soup is recommendable too at economical price of $3.50.
List includes ABC soup, old cucumber soup, Six Senses Soup and Wild Ginseng Soup, etc.
Tried its Six Senses/Tastes Soup which the medical effect is said to enhance circulation of Qi.
It has a mild bitter herbal taste but reasonable portion of herbal ingredients, value for money.
:-)

It is located at corner coffee shop at Blk134 Geylang East Ave1, 2nd bus stop from Aljunied Mrt. Opposite Tan Swie Hian Museum.

7 Sensations

It's a long while since last visit to 7 Sensations, and this time I remembered to leave some stomach space for their yummy eggless cake.:-)
Before that, greatly recommend their Hot Soba, surprisingly smooth organic soba with a simple dark-sauced soup warms the hungry stomach. Unlike usual coarse texture of soba sampled, theirs tasted much like smooth vermicelli (mee sua). Will return to try their other noodles dishes. :-)

Eggless Chocolate Raspberry cake, rich but not sinful.

Nice place with good ambience and service with conscientious staff always refilling water. Also a recommended place for gathering, and would be a great place for high-tea if they are open from 3-6pm. :P

The restaurant is located at 16 Madras street, (just along a stretch of shop houses behind the Verge which hosts VegeSenz) They moved to level 3 Parco Millenium Walk

Su Yuan Vegetarian

Learning from previous experience that we need to have a hearty meal before embarking on the Alexandra Arch Forest Walk, we had our breakfast at the nearby Telok Blangah Way Market Food Centre.

I am glad to find 2 Vegetarian stalls in the food centre. One is more the traditional standard meehoon/noodles stall and another has the Ala Carte dishes of Vegetarian Fish Soup, etc. Somehow, attracted that day to try the Su Yuan Vegetarian stall manned by an elderly man who looked very serious in serving the standard meehoon/noodles and which had a queue forming.
Well, the meehoon with the saltish gravy earned demerit points but the accompanying generous variety of ingredients of cabbage, french beans, black fungus, mock barbacue pork, compressed beancurb skin slices and crispy fried goose pieces at $2.50 made it worth a try. (but recommend to not ask for too much gravy) And yes, I would recommend their cripsy fried spring rolls! :-)

Located at Telok Blangah Way Blk 11 Market Food Centre, near road Diagonally Opposite Telok Blangah Hill Park entrance, towards Bt Merah central direction, opposite Safra Clubhouse.

House of Vegetarian

House of Vegetarian is the Asian Vegetarian stall at Clifford Centre's Basement Banquet Food Court located near to the escalator. So sad to find out Taste of Natural located at corner had ceased operation.
Wanting to try something soupy, I accepted the friendly cook's recommendation of Mee Hoon Mee Soup. Its mee/noodles turned up to be the flat thick yellow mee usually used in Lor Mee which its texture added flavour to the soup without much seasoning required. Nice, warm bowl of mee hoon and noodles with good portion of bean sprouts, mushrooms, carrot & vegetables. :-)

Classic Lao Di Fang Vegetarian Restaurant PL

Yes, returned to Classic Lao Di Fang again but this time for dinner (no buffet:P).

This round, Strongly recommend their Herbal Mushroom Soup, which had a nice herbal fragrance, with plenty of variety of mushrooms and wolf berries to warm the stomach.

Next was their Mango Pork Chop served on a hot-plate. The mango sauce was mild & I would think the hot-plate was more for presentation purpose without much of sizzling effect but I love their well-coated bread-crumb fried pork chop. Nicely fried bread-crumb skin and my friend complimented that the mock pork tasted like ham. The accompanying vegetables of broccoli, asparagus, bell peppers made it a beautiful & nutritious dish.

It is located at 9 Penang Rd, Park Mall, Basement 1, #B1-12, just turn left from the down escalator.

Classic Lao Di Fang Vegetarian Restaurant PL

Been long long time to have an enjoyable lunch at Classic Lao Di Fang, and finally had a chance to try their lunch buffet that is really Value for $$$ @ $12.80 (weekday) per pax.

Beware when you order, if you go in group of 4, if you choose many dishes at a go, they do not proportionately reduce the size of each main dish, but serve 4 person's share per dish or perhaps it could already be small size on their standard menu :P.
I would recommend to start with their herbal mushroom soup (*NIP), have a try on their authentic fried carrot cake under dim sum section (*NIP), Bailing Mushroom with Vegetables, Fried Spicy Mushrooms with Oats, and try to leave some capacity to end the meal with their delicious desserts which I would recommend their Sweet Corn with Water Chestnut.
We wish we had more time and capacity to try more dishes.
It's really Value for $ as for the same price, we could not had enjoyed as much dishes on Ala carte basis and for the buffet meal, there wasn't reduction in quality and quantity in my opinion.
We wish that the lunch buffet promotion could continue so that we could return to try more dishes.

*NIP: Not in picture
One could imagine what a wonderful spread we had with a number of other dishes not in picture & not mentioned above:P

It is located at 9 Penang Rd, Park Mall, Basement 1, #B1-12, just turn left from the down escalator.

Vegsenz

Returning to Vegsenz, this time round, I would recommend their Mango Salad, which with good mixture of fresh vege such as Alfalfa, bell peppers, with black & white sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds & the mango cubes with nice sauce won my friends' praises. (one of the better salads that as a non-salad lover, also thumbs up for it :-) )

Next to recommend is their Tahu Goreng with Pumpkin sauce. Just simple steamed/boiled beancurb with thick satay tasted pumpkin sauce, simple & nutritious.
Vegsenz is certainly another great place for gathering where the staff is always ready to refill your water, and will provide you with convenience of sharing the food with friends. My high service standard demanding friend was very satisfied with their service and we enjoyed a good time. :-)

Vegsenz is located at The Verge, 2 Serangoon Road , #01-24/25/26 S(218227), Tel: 63920369
It is actually quite easy to find as once you are out from exit B/C? of Little India MRT station (the exit to Tekka Centre), it is not difficult to find the big words of "The Verge" on a modern building. However, Vegsenz is not on this tower nearer to MRT, it is actually located on another tower behind the 1st building.
It is actually quite near to Bugis too, just diagonally behind Sim Lim Square.

Happy Life Vegetarian

Rejoice, another new vegetarian stall opened at Geylang, located at the same coffee-shop as Kwan Inn Vegetarian Food.

This new stall is called Happy Life Vegetarian which sells Special menu of the day like Nasi Lemak, and Tze Char. Strongly recommend what they called as Indian Rojak but was actually the most healthiest fried food that I had taken. Instead of just flour, it was more like the Japanese version of tempura of ladyfingers, brinjal, potato, tempeh & mixed vege slices. It came surprising without dripping oil and tasted very healthy and crispy, with a light peanut sauce that was fragrant with fine peanut pieces that one won't feel heatiness unlike conventional Indian Rojak sauce. I would definitely return again for this Indian Rojak!
We also tried their Stir-fry Vermicelli and Crispy Duck. (picture taken with some Noel effect from iphone:P) The Crispy Duck had top-skin well-fried and coated just like Miao Yi Vegetarian Restaurant's Vegetarian Suckling Pig except the down point was the 'meat' portion was actually gluten/soya based mock meat which I would prefer to be bean-curb skin based. I like their Vermicelli, with dark sauce gravy which was well-done.
This is really a healthy non-fusion stall that I would strongly recommend. :-)

There is also a new vegetarian tenant: Loving Heart which had just taken over the Chinn Seng Restaurant on the other side of the same HDB block. Looks like it is tough competition but real blessings for vegetarian patrons around the area...
It is located at corner coffee shop at Blk134 Geylang East Ave1, #01-229, 2nd bus stop from Aljunied Mrt. Opposite Tan Swie Hian Museum. Happy Life Vegetarian is located at the left corner, inside same coffee-shop which hosted Kwan Inn Vegetarian (KIV) for those who knew KIV better. It operates from 9am-9.30pm, rests on Wednesday.

Ming De Vegetarian

A friend informed me of a new Vegetarian eatery shop near Lavender MRT, actually not new, was informed later that it is 1 year old already.
It has rice set menu ($3.50-$4) such as Tofu Braised in Soy Sauce which we ordered, Gong Bao Soy Chicken, Sweet & Sour Soy Pork etc. It also has a variety of Ala Carte Dishes of Vegetarian fish, meat, seafood and tofu at quite reasonable prices of $6 (S) - $14 (L).
The Braised Tofu tasted okay, not saltish but a pity the rice was not served steaming hot. The Vegetarian Sharks Fin Soup was quite nice and costed $5 for a big bowl that could serve 4-5. Very worth the price for the standard.:-)
Finally can have a quick dinner if going for Dharma Talk at the Tai Pei Buddhist Centre nearby during weekdays as it opens daily from 9.30am - 9.30pm.
However, pls note that they also serve eggs and hence important to inform them if you do not take eggs as they do not usually clarify and would serve the dishes with eggs by default. :-(
Ming De Vegetarian is located at Blk 808, French Road, #01-1171 S(200808)
(located at Kitchener Complex just behind Construction above Lavender MRT facing side road opposite Citylights)
It also does catering and can be contacted at 94551829/91074245.
Opens daily 9.30am-9.30pm

Taste of Natural

It's a beautiful error, got lost in transit from NS line to EW MRT line and was considering having a quick dinner before attending a talk near Lavender MRT where there wasn't any vegetarian food nearby that I could recall, I decided to visit the Clifford Centre's Basement Banquet Foodcourt.
It was a vast difference from the day lunch crowd! In the evening, it was a peaceful sight. And if you reach before 7pm, you still have a variety to choose from. (most stalls' lights off after 7.15pm)
Menu of "Taste of Natural" seems to have increased from last visit and was recommended the Malay Gado Gado set (S$6) which the gravy was Cashew nut & Almond based verus normal peanut gravy.
Ingredients include some slices of baked beancurb, tempeh, brinjal, bean sprouts, boiled potato wedges, long bean & shreds of cucumber, carrot & lettuce. A very filling plate of fibre.
And the greeny soup as part of the set was Green Pea Soup! Nice & sweet , very green pea taste! :-)

Located at Basement 1 of Banquet Food Court, walk straight from escalator & you will see it at a far corner.
The Food Court is at 24 Raffles Place, #B1-08 Clifford Centre, Singapore 048621
Operating Hours: Monday to Friday : 8am to 7.30pm
Saturday : 8am to 4.30pm. Closed on Sundays as it is a location more catered for working crowds.

Bishan Vegetarian

Yes, the latest Vegetarian stall that just opened in Bishan and its name is Bishan Vegetarian. Located just above the food centre above the Bus Interchange, Up from the colorful stairs near the traffic light, you can see it just beside a fishball noodles stall. It sells economical rice dishes as well as Lor Mee & Curry Noodles and some snacks. I tried their Curry Noodles ($3) which the diluted gavy is more of the Malay Lontong version, came with generous portion of mock char siew & duck pieces & fried goose pieces and the cabbage & long beans made it really "Lontong". :-)

Onn Vegetarian

Craving for noodles, decided to visit this new vegetarian place that I read about nice noodles on this sunny weekend.
We tried their Vegetarian minced meat noodles ($3), it is the dark-sauced type rather than traditional Teochew vinegar type that i prefered but the noodles were Q. It came with beancurb alike pieces that tasted with fish cake texture, the marinated mushroom and the fried mock meat pieces which I suppose is their minced meat and their home-made green chilli made it a tryable dish.

As the picture on the stall made the Soup dumplings ($4) look so palatable like the home-made kind I was looking for, we ordered but was disappointed to find them to be those instant frozen type from suppliers. However, the soup was tasty that reduced the disappointment.
We also tried their Mee Rebus ($3) recommended, but the gravy was more like one of the Chinese gluey type of Lor Mee gravy verus traditional Malay Mee Rebus we usually associate the name with. Instead of having potato incorporated in the gravy, fried potato pieces (quite nice) was added to it, a unique variation. I do like their soup & may return for their Ban Mian which I think will come with their tasty soup base as the Soup Dumpling.
Stall is located at Corner Coffee-shop besides NTUC at Blk 5 Upper Boon Keng Road, just across the traffic light from Kallang MRT. Opens from 7am-8.30pm & closes on Sunday.

Ru Lai Zhai Vegetarian Food

Decided to explore the Thomson/Shunfu estate after a visit to the area in the morning and recalled that there is this old Vegetarian stall: Ru Lai Zhai Vegetarian Food located at Blk 24 Sin Ming Road corner Coffee-shop (near multi-storey car-park) that my family used to visit often sometimes after temple visit at kmspks.

It is one of the pioneer Vegetarian stalls that sells Ala Carte Dishes.
My favourite dish then was their special "Fried Golden Dragon Fish" (sorry, may not be right name) which is Mashed potato in shape of fish fried until golden brown, very yummy, a dish which they usually prepare only on special days like the 1st & 15th of the Lunar month ...:-)

I am glad to find it still in operation in that coffee-shop but as being alone, I couldn't enjoy the popular ala carte dishes, hence I decided to order their Fried Hokkien Noddles ($3) . (Oh yes, again :P as I was looking for a good one :P )
Well, was quite surprised with their quick service which the noodles was served within 5 minutes? maybe because there wasn't a crowd then. Personally, i felt that the stock of the Hokkien noodles was good but the problem was it was not well absorbed by the noodles to make it authentic enough. But I think I will be back to try its other dishes again.
And guess what! On my way, I chanced upon a modern Vegetarian instant supply cum bookshop which sells a couple of my favourite vegetarian snacks. at the adjacent block 23A. So, you may do some shopping before or after your meal. :-)

Ru Lai Zhai is located at Blk 24 Sin Ming Road corner Coffee-shop #01-51 (near multi-storey car-park).
Opens daily 8am-9pm except day after 1st & 15th of Lunar month.

VeganBurg

Heard much about the newly opened VeganBurg, Vegan Burger outlet, we finally made a trip to visit it, however out of the current 5 types of burgers featured on the menu, the only non-fried patty and non onion and non garlic version, the Hawaiian Pineapple burger that I had wanted to try was still not available.
Hence, we tried the fried patty version - Tangy Tartar & Cracked Pepper Mayo ($5.85/set $9.85 each).

The Tangy Tartar had a great resemblance to the Fish burger at McDonald, though the wholemeal bun was different, thanks to its Tartar sauce, you really felt like you are having McDonald Fish burger. :P

We prefered the Cracked Pepper Mayo for the patty texture & its marination of black pepper. The yummy healthy combination of Organic ciabatta with sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and walnuts also added points to it. The set includes fries and drinks. Fries were well-fried & of right thickness & we love it. However, the Juice drinks were considered expensive ($3.50 if separate order) that tasted like too much water added to syrup :P that one could hardly associate the fanciful fruit/vege with.

The minestrone soup (sorry, no picture posted as did not take a good picture of it) with discounted price at $2.50 with set meal purchase ($3.80 if not purchased with a set) is worth getting with the discount as it was thick & came with generous ingredients. The set plus a soup could be very filling even for a big-eater like myself and one could skip a meal after that.:P

Veganburg is located at 44 Jalan Eunos Singapore 419502 (http://www.veganburg.com/ for delivery info) Opening hours: Daily 11am-10pm Tel: 68446868.
From Eunos MRT, move all the way to end of MRT stretch of shops towards food centre/market & at the HDB with rows of coffeeshop, move towards right end to where the main road bus stop is, you can see opposite street, a row of shophouses beside a hugh temple, Fa Lun She. There it is Veganburg, a corner unit of the shophouse.

Dessert

Four Season Ice - One of my favourite desserts ($2.50) whenever I have a crave for dessert during lunch hours. Contains my favourite Corn & Red Ruby at same time!
Amazed that with the great variety served by the dessert stall, how the owner can remember what ingredients to put.;-)

1st stall from main entrance of Food Court at Old Meridian Hotel or currently known as Concorde Hotel, 3 streets away from Centrepoint.

Vegsenz

Finally managed to meet my Little India expert friend and Yes, off to explore Little India again.

This round, we decided to try Vegsenz which is located at The Verge.

Walking along to find the shop, suddenly a different picture appeared before one, and there it is, a very Green & Refreshing looking cafe, its shop-front is a great contrast before the Sungei road which has construction going on. It is actually quite near to Bugis, just diagonally behind Sim Lim Square.

Stepping into the shop, a bright & cheerful environment welcomes one and we are immediately served with glasses of water and colorful menu.:-)

The theme is Organic Fusion food, so organic brown rice set, noodles & burgers are on their menu. Decided to have a try at their Mixed Vegetable Soup ($3.50) which tasted like combo non-sour Sichuan soup of starchy version with ingredients of wolfberries, strips of beancurb, black fungus & mushroom slices. The soup already has a strong sensation taste so there was no need to add the black vinegar provided which actually spoilts the taste when added.
We had a try of their Organic Baked Burger ($7) which is quite unique as the filling is actually folds of fried beancurb sheets together with usual ingredients of tomatoes & cucumber slices. However, the slices could not cover the saltishness of the beancurb sheets which was saved by eating the palatable and refreshing side salad of alfafa, carrot and beetroot. The creativity of the burger verus traditional fried potato or mock meat platter is actually quite recommendable.

Next, we had the Five Colorful Appetising Noodles ($8.50) which was served to us like an errupting volcano shape. We thought it might be like the Salad Soba served at New Green Pastures Cafe where the earlier burger's similar refreshing salad was put on top of the noodles but it was more interesting as when we mix the noodles, we discovered there were at least 3 types of colour noodles in the dish: white, green & black. It is actually a cold noodle dish and would had been more appetising for me if the sauce to mix the salad & noodles could be abit less sweet and less overwhelming to overide the refreshing taste of the salad and the cold noodles.
This is certainly another great place to recommend for gathering as it opens daily from 10am-10pm and has great relaxing atmosphere with quite good service. :-)

Vegsenz is located at The Verge, 2 Serangoon Road , #01-24/25/26 S(218227), Tel: 63920369

Hokkien Vegetarian food

Always on the look out for any new vegetarian food stalls in new eatery places that I passby. Was just curious as usual that day to take a quick look at the new renovated coffee-shop near the traffic light before crossing over to Chinatown at the corner of Pearls Centre & there it is, a new stall named Hokkien Vegetarian.
Okay, so it must be a stall good at Hokkien dishes so I decided to try its Fried Hokkien Noodles ($3.50) . Well, it is a good big plate which taste wise okay lah but abit too dry in my opinion without the right portion of gravy stock. Its picture of Mee Goreng on the poster looks much interesting, maybe I will try that next round. :P

Located inside coffeeshop near traffic light to cross to Chinatown,

100 Eu Tong Sen Street, Pearls Centre, Spore 059812
(The building nearest to Outram MRT)

素满园 Su Man Yuan Vegetarian

Sinfully oily but tasty & spicy:P No fancy ingredients but Nice hot taupok that greatly absorbed the laksa gravy with some sprinkle of the laksa leaves is just what is required to make a delicious bowl of good laksa. :-)

Located at the corner Food Court at Basement 1 of People's Park Centre (Opp Chinatown Point), towards near left corner of the food court.

Ci Hang Western & Chinese Vegetarian Fast Food

That's a sunny day & the nearest air-conditioned vegetarian place to have our "hi-tea" would be Ci Hang which is air-conditioned. However, was tempted to have an early dinner instead & I managed to try two of my favourite dishes there - Tom Yam Fried Rice & Fried Bean curb skin rolls. Ok, sorry, they don't look nice in presentation but tasted certainly better than the look.:P

It's pity the Tom Yam flavour of the Fried rice this round was not as strong a flavour as it used to be or I could had better enjoyed the meal. The bean curb skin roll tasted still as good & the centre plate of chilli had the most authentic resemblance of a good chicken rice chilli that we requested for a second plate for dip. :-)

But what made the food more palatable is the great company, a good reunion session.:-)

It is located at Lorong 25-A Geylang, along 1st stretch of shop-houses besides Aljunied MRT.
Tel: 6747 1229. Closed on Fridays.

Yuan Yuan Vegetarian (缘缘素食斋)

Sad! Ceased Operation...

Oh Yes, finally Yuan Yuan Vegetarian reopened after its renovation from a coffee shop to an air-conditioned place. Visited it for lunch & again ordered our all time favourite Green curry. Though color not as green as last seen, taste still authentic & ingredients much increased with more bean curb pieces being added to the mushroom, cauliflowers and baby corns.
Another new dish we tried is their Spicy Chilli Brinjal dish which I would strongly recommend for spicy lovers. The brinjals smooth & soft & the spicy sauce was simply superb to complement their brown rice. Yummy!

It is located at a competitive place, #45 Geylang Lor 27, at a corner coffeeshop on 2nd stretch of shophouses from Aljunied MRT, beside the HeJi Bao coffeshop or bus stop of Aljunied MRT. Same stretch as Yes Natural but nearer to main road. Including it, there are 2 vegetarian cafe & 3 vegetarian stalls just along 2 stretch of shophouses from Aljunied MRT.
It rests on Monday, opens fr 10.30am to 10pm.

NutriHub the organic fusion cafe

Oh Yes, Long time not been to Nutrihub & signal received for the day that I need some healthy food so here I am to try the long absented healthy brown rice set of Nutrihub.
Yummy Buckwheat brown rice with pumpkin (abit cold which could had tasted better if warm), fresh caixin & carrot salad with unique tasty sauce.:-) And the weird taste 5/7 bean/grain soup which supposedly should be very nutritious.:P

Feel very healthy but still hungry after the meal. :P

Good for those on diet which I suppose I should be going on one soon , sob:-}, longtime no see friend commented that I look more "prosperous" again.;-PP

So sad Nutrihub moved away from Orchard to new address at 46 Temple street near Chinatown MRT from mid Jun 2011....

Xiu Yuan Good Food Cafe

Visited Bugis area & S has craving for Dry noodles and in good mood to try vegetarian version as well. So I brought her to Fortune Centre & we found Vegetarian Mushroom Minced Meat Noodles and Zha Jiang Noodles on the new vendor, Xiu Yuan' s menu.
The red bowl contained the Vegetarian Mushroom Minced Meat Noodles, noodles well cooked, smooth & gravy nice with fragrant slices of mushroom, phew, passed the test of S who is a dry noodles lover.
The Zha Jiang Noodles' gravy and mock ingredients was saltish as required & went well with the Lamian, but in comparison, we prefer the slim noodles used in the Vegetarian Mushroom Minced Meat to the Lamian used in the Zha Jiang Mian. This shop does also sell a great variety of dishes just like its neighbor, Pine Tree Cafe.

(I was told Xiu Yuan had just replaced Piao Xiang Vegetarian Food about a month plus while Piao Xiang had moved to level1, #01-01, near the entrance. As it maintained similar old setting & has similar menu as Piao Xiang, one could hardly notice the change of owners.)

It is located at 190 Middle Road, #03-03 (Fortune Centre), Singapore 188979
Opening Hours: Mon - Sun: 8.30am - 8.30pm, last order

Shun Fu Vegetarian

Revisited the stall for lunch. Much convenient now to visit via the new Circle line station: Marymount & good job by HDB on the upgrading of facilities to have sheltered linkage all the way to Shunfu Market via the HDB blocks.

For 3 dishes with brown rice, it costed $3. I like their mock cuttlefish slices which were well-cooked with dark sauce with the right texture. The fried cauliflower pieces were crispy, but one could hardly taste the cauliflower inside, the green vege, kailan, was fresh & well-cooked.
And near the lift area, there is a drink-stall that sells home-made barley drink at only $0.50. Where to find now?:P
The Vegetarian stall is located near the main entrance of the food centre facing the road/carpark at level 2 of Shunfu Market.

Ru Yi Yuan Vegetarian

Whenever I visit Redhill MRT market, I would passby this coffeeshop located opposite the Redhill Market. It is always crowded & especially this Ru Yi Yuan Vegetarian stall that attracts long queue even on non-vegetarian days of 1st & 15th day of lunar month.

Finally, decided to spend time to queue for it. It's quite a good portion at $2/2.50 & it has many interesting looking mock products which I added my favourite compressed beancurb skin dish which just costed a dollar more. :-) The meehoon is still okay but the variety of standard side dishes which is quite tasty is their sellng point.

It is located at Blk 80 Redhill Lane Coffeeshop, opposite the Market, about 5 mins walk from Redhill MRT.
