Bishan Vegetarian

Revisited Bishan Central and glad to find Bishan Vegetarian still operational.
Ordered their Lor Mee which the pot of Lor gravy looked kind of unappetising. However, surprisingly it was the famous Tiong Bahru thick gluey type which with appropriate vinegar tasted quite authentic. Forgoing the mock char siew & duck pieces, I was given a big mock fishball which was quite chewy and another time their vege dishes.
Generally, quite enjoyable as dish came hot & steamy.:-)

Located just above the food centre above the Bus Interchange, Up from the colorful stairs near the traffic light, you can see it just beside a fishball noodles stall.

Just Green Vegetarian Food (Tampines)

Went to Tampines again and the nearest vegetarian stall within Tampines Central seems to be only "Just Green" at Eastlink Food court. It does have a great variety of dishes to choose from, especially on bean curd dishes that I always couldn't resist ordering. Their next speciality is their 3 sticks of satay at $1.50. I would think their satay mock meat texture is well-marinated & has great resemblance in chewiness and taste to the real stuff. Worth trying especially for those who used to love satay.
It's good that they also serve free soup during lunch as that really warms one dining at the unusually strong air-conditioned food court that chills.:-P

Ru Lai Zhai Vegetarian Food

Thinking our blue-chaser class started last week, we arrived there to discover we had both made a mistake, H & I proceeded to Ru Lai Zhai for a relaxing dinner instead. Ordered their Mee Hoon Goreng & Claypot Bean curd. Well, they miraculously served both dishes just after we had placed order for drink again. Speed must be their motto. :P

The Mee Hoon Goreng tasted more like Fried Tom Yam Mee Hoon to me instead as the spicy chilli was more to the Tom Yam chilli sourness taste. The Claypot bean curd was superb, the type of braised smooth bean curd that I adore, and that brown gravy was appetising that we used to lower the Tom Yam-ness of the mee hoon. :-)

Ru Lai Zhai is located at Blk 24 Sin Ming Road corner Coffee-shop #01-51 (near multi-storey car-park).
Opens daily 8am-9pm except day after 1st & 15th of Lunar month.

Create Healthy Lifestyle

Visited "Create Healthy Lifestyle" at Fortune centre as we decided to have a tasty healthy lunch. We ordered our favourite refreshing salad sushi usually available at organic outlets and their menu of the day of Spaghetti (Angel's hair) with Black Pepper Pork chop and their Ipoh Hor Fun with home-made wanton. Both were accompanied with a free bowl of healthy soup with ingredients of white fungus, hugh bean sprouts, carrots, red dates boiled with mushroom stalk.

The Spaghetti's' pork chop was the type of soy-made mock meat that I like and was well fried that went well with the mild flavoured black -pepper sauce that was not too over-whelming. Apity the gravy was not well absorbed by the Angel's hair which could have added points to it.

The Ipoh Hor Fun came with a generous portion of vege and dark-sauce which needs good mixing to let the plain white Hor Fun absorb the salty sauce. But abit disappointed with the home-made wantons which were abit mushy when served. Oh, I miss good wantons....

Our favorite is still the salad sushi which was crunchy and refreshing. :-) Overall, a enjoyable healthy meal. :-)

My Vegetarian Way

It sure is a stress to lunch at Raffles Place but fortunately, one can still get seats at the Golden Shoe Carpark Food Centre. Glad to find this stall named "My Vegetarian Way" at #03-24, somewhere at the centre of the food centre which serves healthy organic food at a reasonable price. It serves daily menu of the day & had tried their yam noodles ($3.50) and curry pumpkin rice ($4). Taste really healthy and can see regular customers patronising the stall. :-)

It is located at 50 Market Street, #03-24 of Golden Shoe Carpark Food Centre, just about a street away from the Raffles Place MRT.
